Job Description

SEEKING PROJECT MANAGER FOR RETAIL/COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR

A multi-tasking managerial role encompassing a minimum of 5 years construction management experience working for a general contractor with a strong concentration on managing retail, restaurant, banks, convenience stores, retail strip centers and grocery. Experience with new construction, ground up, tenant improvement and remodel projects is preferred.

Duties include:

• Estimating. Accurately, competitively and timely bid projects.
• Budget management. Timely, accurately and comprehensively award subcontracts, purchase materials, and lease equipment as required to maximize profits, productivity, and quality.
• Scheduling. Research, construct, manage and execute an aggressive, achievable and easy to understand construction schedule for each project.
• Construction management. Supervise and manage all project activities as required to complete every project on time, under budget, safely, and in accordance with the construction documents, local and governing codes. Timely and accurately manage all billings, changes, record keeping, and correspondence. Supervise on site field superintendent.
• Quality Control. Every project is to be built with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Safety. Enforce safety compliance on all projects.

Requirements:

• Must be proficient at PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel and word - intermediate or advance level is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment are imperative.
• Must be a self-starter, highly adaptable to the environment and demanding job requirements, very flexible with strong teamwork mindset, positive attitude and willingness to contribute his/her talents to strengthen the culture of the company.
• Some travel to attend pre bid meetings, punch walks, meetings, etc. is required
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or similar preferred, but not required.

This is an on-site job, located in South Houston/Ellington airport area
