ARRT & BLS are required. Must have at least 2 years of radiation therapy experience. ASAP start date. Responsible to assist with the overall clinical supervision of the radiation department. This includes, but is not limited to: 1) oversees the delivery of safe, quality patient care; 2) provides leadership, support, organization, facilitation, problem solving and guidance to the radiation department under the supervision of the Department Director. Responsible for the imaging procedures and safety of each patient assigned. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards. Delivers radiation treatments in a timely manner as described in treatment plan, assuring accuracy. Properly performs Imaging procedures with knowledge of quality parameters (OBI and CBCT). Maintains current knowledge of simulation and therapy techniques and assists as needed. Correctly performs routine dosimetry calculations. Proficient in block cutting and fabrication of cerrobend blocks. Assures accuracy, proficiency and timeliness in completion of custom treatment devices prior to start of patient's treatment. Coordinates patient simulation and treatment schedules. Accurately orders and charges daily procedures within appropriate timeframes to avoid charge errors. Assists with patient chart check review. Assist in the day to day function of the radiation therapy department by supporting clinical staff in improving patient care, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with other cancer center departments to address patient care needs
