Job Description

Job Summary:
A global leader specializing in the design, manufacture and distribution of functional hardware, office and healthcare ergonomics and storage-related components for original equipment manufacturers, specialty distributors, hardware chains and major home centers is looking to add a Maintenance Electrician to their team. This position will be responsible to

Perform advanced maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems in support of manufacturing operations
Perform electrical installation of a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and systems
Troubleshoot major electrical and/or mechanical problems
Complete routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
Interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
Replace equipment on existing electrical systems
Calibrate, and repair electrical-pneumatic control syste

Location: NE Grand Rapids, MI
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay: $35-39/Hour plus $3 shift premium
Shifts: 3rd Shift

Qualifications:

MI Electrical License required; Master License preferred.
A High School Diploma or GED, completion of trade school or formal training preferred
Advanced understanding of electrical, mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems
Knowledge of advanced maintenance processes and methods, working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices and ability to read blueprints
Troubleshoot motor controls, multi-generational Allen Bradley equipment, and both AC and DC circuits.
Ability to make small programming changes or edits.
Troubleshooting of PLC using laptop.
Understanding of schematics, blueprints, and Ladder Logic diagrams.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician required.
