Job Description

To support and advise the client on the optimization, design and real time drilling in their oil/gas fields and work closely with partners to ideate, create, develop, and maintain digital technology tools and workflows to automate, monitor, control and optimize drilling in oil and gas fields.

Must-Have skills

  • Bachelors in: mechanical engineer, electronic engineering, petroleum, and geological engineering, mining, and similar engineering.
  • If bachelor's in digital technology as systems, programming, etc the master's in mechanics, materials, geomechanics, fluids, etc engineering is a must.
  • Had worked in oil and gas operators, (Pemex, Shell, Chevron, BP, Equinor, Pedeveza, Petroamazonas, Petrobras, Petroecuador, etc) or OFS companies (Halliburton, SLB, Baker Hughes, Nabors, Weatherford, etc)
  • Deep domain expertise of the oil and gas industry executing projects like: reservoir engineering, design drilling programs, field development plans, geomechanics, operational geologist, wells lifecycle management, drilling, completions, geomechanics, real time drilling optimization, among other similar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and high disposition to work in multidisciplinary teams with technology developers to create digital tools and platforms, AI/ML models, etc.
  • Foundations of digital technology, data, agile methodologies, and data analytics
  • Experience in commercial software related such as Delphi, Petrel, DesicionSpace, WellView, WellPlan, Compass, DrillPlan, DrillOps, DrillSync, OnTrack, Well Program Suite, Well Construction Suite, among many others.
  • High level of English proficiency to write, speak and read.

Nice-to-Have skills

  • Master's degree in fluids, materials, rock properties, mud, fluids, reservoir, rock mechanics, flow assurance, etc data analytics or digital tech topics
  • Scrum master, Agile, (methodologies) certifications
