The Cato Corporation is seeking a Email Marketing Analyst to join our Advertising team!

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Email Marketing Analyst to lead and execute our email marketing initiatives. This role plays a key part in customer acquisition and retention by developing strategic, brand-aligned email programs. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, a strong sense of urgency, and a passion for data-driven marketing. This position involves building new campaigns, optimizing existing assets, and implementing industry best practice

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Photo re-touching for all eCommerce digital assets.
  • Assist with the creation of images and graphics for email marketing campaigns.
  • Create and update images, graphics and videos needed for social media efforts.
  • Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
  • Stay abreast of competitors’ advertising as well as current design trends and industry technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage all aspects of email campaigns including setup, testing, scheduling, and deployment within an ESP (Email Service Provider).
  • Support the maintenance and optimization of transactional and triggered email programs.
  • Build and manage advanced customer segmentation and behavioral targeting strategies.
  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team to optimize landing pages linked from email campaigns.
  • Design mobile-first, responsive emails to ensure optimal user experience across all devices.
  • Ensure flawless execution of campaigns by performing quality assurance checks on creative, copy, and links.
  • Leverage database attributes to create dynamic content rules and personalized user experiences.
  • Identify cross-promotional opportunities to highlight products, content, or services within emails.
  • Use analytics tools to report on email performance and share actionable insights with cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor deliverability metrics and collaborate with the ecommerce team to improve performance.
  • Troubleshoot rendering issues across platforms and email clients, and provide effective solutions.
  • Stay current on email marketing best practices, coding standards, and compliance regulations such as CAN-SPAM.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

4 year college degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related fields.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of work experience in email / digital marketing

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Working knowledge of major email enterprise platforms and content management systems
  • Ability to collect data and report on email campaign results with suggestions for improvement
  • Ability to think critically and strategically in developing marketing plans for a variety of digital resources
  • Knowledge Adobe Photoshop
  • Familiarity with CRM or other form or database management
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Proficiency in Excel (including creating Pivot Tables/formulas)
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with online best practices
  • Strong organization and time management skills with ability to function within tight deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate and control numerous projects simultaneously, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Highly flexible, ability to handle changing directions/priorities and roles as business needs evolve
  • A self-starting attitude—ready to seize opportunities to make an impact without needing to be told
  • Fashion retail experience is a plus
