Compensation: $55, 000 - $66,000

Position Description:

We are looking for an experienced Billing Coordinator for our company in Long island. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday.

Qualifications of the Billing Coordinator

• Prior experience in billing, accounting, or administrative support, ideally in a healthcare setting
• Strong comfort with insurance forms, documentation, and data entry
• Detail-oriented and organised, with good communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and internal systems
• Willingness to support HR tasks such as timekeeping or personnel file maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications a plus

Responsibilities of the Billing Coordinator:

• Handle day-to-day billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance plans
• Track authorisations and follow up on denials or outstanding claims
• Maintain accurate census records and payer documentation for billing cycles
• Coordinate with internal teams and outside payers to ensure timely reimbursement
• Monitor accounts receivable and support collections tracking
• Assist with payroll prep, onboarding, and basic HR support tasks as needed
• Help prepare for audits and ensure documentation is complete and compliant
