Under the close supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accountant Trainee  performs professional accounting duties related to reimbursement accounts, reimbursement contracts and  other Accounts Receivable (AR) duties in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Department of  Finance (DOF), State Controller s Office (SCO), State Administrative Manual (SAM).

Working Conditions

• Core business hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm. 
• Sit, bend, stoop, or stand while working. 
• Daily use of standard office equipment. 
• Temperature controlled office with artificial light. 
• Transport items weighing up to 25 pounds. 
• Appropriate business attire required.

General Qualifications:

Ability to adhere to the general qualifications outlined in California Code of Regulations 2 CCR .

School Transcripts:

Application packages must include a photocopy or scan of official transcripts for the universities/colleges attended where the required coursework was received. Failure to provide official transcripts may result in removal from the exam list. Applicants providing photocopies or scans of international official transcripts may need to provide an evaluation/translation from an educational credentials evaluation service to ensure that all the required coursework can be verified by the hiring agency.
